Dr Don Peden
Dr Don Peden is Interim Director for Ethiopia of the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI). He received training in systems ecology, range management and natural resource management at universities in Canada, UK and USA. He spent eight years working in Kenya with the Kenya Rangeland Ecological Monitoring Unit and seven years co-ordinating the International Centre for Research in Agroforestry (ICRAF), in Uganda. From 1996 to 2001, he served the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) in Ottawa before joining ILRI. His interests now focus on livestock management as it relates to integrated natural resource management, poverty reduction and public health.
